We inform the AFCEA Chapter Bucharest's members about the fact that lAFCEA Educational Foundation, through the AFCEA Europe Office, along with European Chapter donations, sponsor an "Excellence in a Scientific Project" award for the best European project related to communications, intelligence or information systems.   We are delighted to announce that this year's winner is a Ukrainian student Mr.Vsevolod Ievgiienko from the Faculty of Cybernetics at the University of Kiev, whose topic "Using Cryptography to Protect Data in Networks," was presented at our first student conference held in Brussels in April this year.
We take this opportunity to announce that our next student conference will be held in conjunction with next year's October event that has been re-titled 'TechNet International' and will be held in Brussels on 29 and 30 October 2009.   The student conference will be held in the same venue on Wednesday 28 October.

We inform the AFCEA Chapter Bucharest's members about the last newsletter of AFCEA Europe. Plans for this year's TechNet Europe in Prague, on 16 and 17 of october 2008, are progressing well.

AFCEA International have produced new Industry Codes to replace the existing ones on all membership forms (individual and corporate). They are in word so that they can be easily be modified by each chapter as appropriate. Please use the attached forms (photocopies may be used) in future or adapt your local chapter membership forms to contain the information on these forms as a minimum. Remember to fill in the 'sponsored by' section of the individual membership form as this information is needed for the recruitment/retention award programme., Individual Application form.doc and for the sponsors Corporate membership form.doc .
